Our Activities

The Center Was On 1st December reopened for the senior students. We adhered to all the Government regulations.

On 23 June Amrita Shukla, a young entrepreneur, came over with her brother Abhinav to distribute Dry Ration to all the families of our children.

On 12th June Shri Rajesh Arora, a famous poet, announced to award Taravati Arora Samman to 14 meritorious students of our centre. Accordingly they would be given Rs. 1000/- each.

Like every year The Rotary Club of Lucknow distributed blankets and sweaters to all the children. They are primarily responsible for keeping the children warm and cheerful in winters.

To motivate the children and keeping their interest alive in Online Learning as it was a novel experience for them, we awarded Cash Prize of Rs. 1000/- each to six meritorious students.

Deeply distressed by the plight of Migrant Workers few dynamic young professionals pooled up their resources and distributed substantial Education Material to all our students, worth Rs. 1000/- each.

On 28 th May 2020 , just after the initial Lockdown substantial Dry Ration was distributed to the families of our children. The Migrant Workers are facing tremendous hardships during the Covid 19 Pandemic and majority of our children belong to this category. We are conducting Online Teaching consistently.

HOLIDAYS - For children this word is Sweet like honey or the sweetest of the mangoes. SUMMER HOLIDAYS - The elexir of life. The distinguished members of Bimba Kala Kendra came over to mark the beginning of the summer holidays with great fanfare. There were gifts, delicious snacks, ice-cream and loads of fun. Special thanks to SN Agarwal, Ashok Kumar, Rajesh Arora and Mr Pandey. Even I am finding the idea of holidays quite tempting.

ISIT OF DISTRICT GOVERNOR OF ROTARY CLUB We had the honour of welcoming the District Governor of Rotary Club, Mr. Sanjay Agarwal at our centre. Accompanying him were the distinguished members of Rotary Club of Lucknow under the leadership of Mr. MK Goel. This specific club have been one of our chief patrons. They blessed the children and assured continuous support to the organisation.

Fresh Batch of Field Work Trainees from the Social Work Department Prabha Tiwari, Manshi Singh and Prerna Singh are young dynamic and intelligent students of BA Hons. They have established an instant connect with the students.

BOOK LAUNCH OF SHADOWS AND LIGHT The myraid manifestations of sublime and wondouros Womanhood was celebrated through the characters of this book. Heartfelt gratitude to Archana Shukla, Director IIM-Lucknow, Amrita Dass, Kanak Rekha Chauhan, Purnima Revis and Reeta David.

VIBRANT OCTOBER A Book Launch, Celebrations of Girl Child Day at Lamarts, Mrs. Binu Kalsis visit, Preparation of Card and Poster exhibition. The children were thoroughly into meaningful activities.

The adorable tiny tots of Kinderville under the leadership of their admirable principal, Mridula Upreti, arrived with beautifully wrapped umpteen gift packets. We at Samarth celebrated the joy and innocence of childhood today. The gracious presence of the members of Inner wheel Prerna augmented the happiness quotient. They distributed gifts and snacks. The Project Masoom of Young Indians conducted a very effective and proactive workshop on GOOD TOUCH AND BAD TOUCH .They handled this delicate issue with such fineness that the children participated enthusiastically. Diwali was celebrated with much fanfare and fervour at our various centres. Children displayed their creativity and latent talent while making rangolis, cards and decorating diyas. At one of our centres even a small pooja was performed. Later children presented a small cultural program. Summer Holidays celebrations were held in the lush green lawns of Wazir Hasan Road Centre. Children presented a medley of songs, poems, dances and skit. Fun, frolic, sweets and snacks were in abundance. The children of both the centers mixed freely and made new friendship. Smt. Geetika Jain, wife of present DGP, Amita Jain, Rani Narain, Pratima and Madhu also graced the occasion. Such programs are a part of our confidence building measures.
